Nova Ukraine and UNICEF USA are partnering to support children and families devastated by the war in Ukraine.
The humanitarian crisis in Ukraine is having a devastating impact on children and their families. Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing their homes to find safety in other parts of the country or across Ukraine’s borders. As of March 18, over 3 million people have crossed into Poland, Romania, Moldova and other countries, and millions more have been displaced.
The war in Ukraine poses an immediate and growing threat to the lives and well-being of the country’s 7.5 million children. It has been reported that almost every single second, a child becomes a refugee since the start of the war. Hundreds of children have already been injured or killed in Ukraine to date and many more will likely be impacted by psychological trauma.
UNICEF USA is proud to partner with Nova Ukraine, whose mission is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States as well as in the rest of the world since 2014. Updates from UNICEF Ukraine
UNICEF delivering 5 trucks of supplies to Chernihiv. This delivery includes powerful generators, medicines, waste materials and various equipment for the needs of hospitals in Chernihiv and the region.
Humanitarian cargo arriving in Bucha after liberation. Civilians received high-calorie ready meals, medicines, hygiene and sanitary kits, warm cotton blankets and other things to help recover as soon as possible. Doctors were provided with first aid pharmacies, surgical kits and corresponding medical medicines.
During the month of war UNICEF and partners delivered 11,000 liters of clean drinking water to families from Avdiika. UNICEF hopes to double this amount with your support.
